About the author

Kathleen A. Erickson is a multi-genre author and storyteller devoted to building worlds, exploring truth, and asking the deeper questions that stay with readers long after the final page.

Raised as a Navy BRAT and shaped by a lifetime of experience across business, creativity, and problem-solving, she brings a unique perspective to her writing—one that bridges imagination with meaning, and story with purpose.

She is the creator of The Adventures of BW Pawn series, beginning with Quest of a Chess Piece, where strategy, courage, and identity unfold through an imaginative and visually rich narrative. At the same time, her work extends beyond children’s storytelling into theology, personal growth, and reflective nonfiction—exploring themes of faith, identity, purpose, and the nature of truth itself.

Behind the work is a life marked by both joy and depth. Married at 20, Kathleen shared a 34½-year, Cinderella-like marriage before being widowed just two days before her 55th birthday—an experience that continues to shape the authenticity, gravity, and perspective found throughout her writing.

Today, she is building a growing body of work that spans generations—from illustrated children’s stories to thought-provoking theological and personal development writing—each piece connected by a common thread: to create something meaningful, lasting, and true.

A conservative Christian, Kathleen gives all credit for her life and work to the One True Living God of the Bible. It is her hope that within these pages, readers will find not only stories, but insight, encouragement, and perhaps even a sense of purpose in their own journey.

Building worlds. Telling stories. Leaving legacy.
